I am 17 years young, and a very passionate person.
Problem is, Sometimes too passionate because when i get mad, im steaming mad.
I’ve slapped my bf once(one thing in my life that i regret ), and i’ve punch a wall in the mall with my knuckles bleeding(just a little).
So I figured i have an anger problem, so the question is…

i just scream out loud and stuff and than my brothers think i’m weird than they don’t wana fight me =). but i like to just scream or yell. my brothers think that i have an anger problem too, because they always light the fuse. so to relieve it i would usually play games and talk to people such as friends to calm myself down
for the classes i would prefer tai chi because the whole martial art is about being calm and stuff. but i like ninjutsu, i’m more into japanese martial arts

well it seems like you’re on the right track wanting to do something about it, like maybe taking a kickboxing class.
I would suggest exercise, kickboxing would be good, or maybe a real martial arts, whatever style interests you the most. Also just doing cardio for 30 mins is a good release.
Also I would look into maybe getting some counseling. Not because there is something wrong with you, but because it may help you sort out, understand, and learn how to identify and deal with your feelings in a productive way. Some cities offer that for free, or maybe your parents have insurance that would cover it. Find someone you like and trust, if the first councilor you try you dont like find a different one, or it may not do any good. That combined with exercise would be a winning combo, and will help with stress and anger and will probably have you feel better and happier over all.
Good for you for looking for a healthy solution, you are a smart teen!!!

well my brothers had the same problem and one decided to play tackle football and the other one did tae kwon do. I think its working for both of them. One thing that always helps me when i am mad is just going for a walk alone to just think about things before i do something i will regret. It always seems to work for me.

Try making things with polymer clay. You need to kneed the clay first and that can relieve stress.
There are books with ideas and creating something beautiful will lift your spirits. As for anger, find some soothing music to listen to while you work the clay.

Counseling, smashing pillows, journaling……every day…..counseling is soooo good, and nobody will ever tell what you say there…..smashing pillows beats smashing somebody else’s face, or your own…..journaling gets all those feelings down on paper….when you put them down on paper, its like getting them out of yourself…..where they need to go….out of you…..anger management classes would also be good….available in all cities…..

Throw Marshmallows! Can’t hurt anybody and it really is releasing stress and not hurting. You can even yell when you throw them. Suggestion: Don’t eat the marshmallows after you throw them. Might not taste too good. Try a little bit of humor. Don’t take life too serious. Have fun!
