think of it this way once the papers are done the stress is gone. yes you will have more papers due, but its not a life long stress. try taking a break or walk and think about what you will write about.

Spread out the work and do it little by little and when you feel overwhelmed take a break.

well I am going through that as well. Just remember that you are not alone. Try taking a break inbetween each assignment. 10 minutes or so to not take up much of your time. Also, play some of your favorite music to calm you down.

    hope I helped. :)

Take a deep breath and relax about every 20 minutes of homework.

Homework is defiantly a stressful thing! Especially once you get into college. My advice, set yourself up on a schedule. Don’t try and cram it all in at once. Set a certain amount of time aside each day just for doing your work. After that time is up, try rewarding yourself with something you enjoy. I personally enjoy playing Wii afterwards. You can also try listening to some relaxing music while doing your work. Hope this helps!

Think of the things you are doing is like playing game when we are kids and not too serious about. But focus and persistense that way you can relieve your stress by working your homework.Good luck buddy

It doesn’t have to effect you in any way, unless you don’t learn how to organize your time. If you cannot do it yourself or if a family member not available to help you organize, a school counselor or teacher might be willing to help you with getting the work broken down into sections and plan how much of it you are going to get done each day. Usually the sooner you get it done, the less stress you are under. Use the old fashioned value of “work first, play later.”
If you don’t learn how to do this, you might get bad grades, fail classes, not graduate etc, all the doom and gloom parents and teachers predict.

i know just wut u mean!!!i have like a thousand(more like 10) projects due and i keep putting them off and now its to late to hand a lot of them in. but for you just start early and do not procrastinate like i have because i end up not doing the assignment then but start early don’t procrastinate and this is important, know that your work is good enough don’t think its not good enough adn then waste time worrying about if wut u just wrote or did sucked, its better to do a satisfactory job then amazing if it means ur not gonna be up all night for the rest of ever.

Stress from school can DEFINITELY take a toll on you. I think the best way to deal with feeling overloaded with schoolwork on top of everything else is to give yourself at least one day off a week. it can be really hard to do, and sometimes impossible, but having time to yourself on a regular basis and having at least one day where you let your mind be free of whirling with school is extremely important for staying healthy. (even God took a day off!!!)
Personally, when I feel super stressed about homework I find I work best in a public place like Starbucks or Bread Co, where there is a relaxing atmosphere, and other people working all around you, and less distractions than being at home!

Reaching out for help is a great first step! Second of all, have the conviction you can do it…which is really simple biochemistry, you have to put your brain in gear (just like a car) to get to where you want to go. So, by being positive, you’re creating the right state of mind to allow your body chemistry to turn on the juice and sustain you through your efforts.

Now that you’re ready to complete your assignments, the most important concept (like another person mentioned) is to break up into smaller parts. Do a few bits of one assignment, then do a few more of another. Stress comes when we look at the largeness of something, and not the individual, managable parts. For example, think of how babies learn to walk, the countless skills they need to master in the process and the number of times they’ll fall before they succeed. If you thought of how daunting that seems, you’d never get out of your stroller. But little by little, step by wobbly step, they succeed…and you can too!

Finally, think of each assignment as another deposit in your bank of wisdom that you’ll have to draw from when you begin your profession. The more you learn, the greater your intellectual riches will be, so enjoy these assignments as a learning opportunity from which you’ll grow!

first of all, take a deep breath, hold it, and let it out slowly. Calm down. Now, here are some things that i think will help you.

ORGANIZATION: Keeping up with assignments and knowing what you’re up against.

Every day, if you do these things, it should help you take a lot of stress away. I do these things because I am in all honors classes at school, so I have a lot of homework (an English assignment everyday/chapter to read every day due the next day, an algebra assignment every day due at the end of the week, science questions every other day, band songs to practice, history essays/worksheets every day. You see my dilemma.). Anyway, here’s what works for me:

First hour I take out a sheet of paper and write this:
    **class** **time**
    -English:______________________________….
    -Science:_____________________________…..
    -Algebra:______________________________….
    -History:______________________________…..

As I go through classes I write all my homework assignments down on the paper. Everybody at my school has a planner assignment book thingy, but the setup is confusing and I hate using, so I never look at it. By the end of the day my paper looks a lot like this:

    **class** **time**
-English: Writing As. Rough Draft/read ch. 1…… 20-45 min
    -Science:Earthquake Questions……………………5-10 min
-Algebra: Page 197 15-59 odds, Due Fri………….30-60 min
-History: Video Questions Due Wed………………5-25 min

This assignment list will normally be in the very front of my notebook, and when I’m done with all the work for that day I tear the page out and throw it away so I don’t confuse days.

Speaking of notebooks, I suggest you get one and write every assignment you have in it. It’s best if it’s divided into two, three, or five subjects– two: assignment lists, other.; three: assignment lists, assignments, notes.; five: assignment lists, math, science, english, history, notes–so you can be more organized. It’s especially good if the little divider thingies have pockets, so you can stick in worksheets.

FENG SHUI: Okay not really–but you need a calm, balanced place to do your homework.

Like, don’t try doing your calculus homework at the kitchen table with your three little brothers running around, or in the living room with the TV on (sorry, but it just doesn’t work out!). I find that it’s best for me if I’m in one of these places:
-My desk, with the computer off and a million pencils ready
-Spread out on the floor with music playing (but I’m not fiddling with the songs or anything)
-The Hall (I know this sounds ridiculous but the hallway in my house is plane and quiet, so it just works)
-My mom’s car while it’s in the garage (again, plain and quiet)

Keep in mind that a distracting place to do homework can seriously make it take longer, making it seem more stressful, making you dread it, which makes it more stressful still, and the cycle goes on until you soon worry that you’ll have to hand in your english essay with bits of your exploded brain all over it. ;)

TALKING WITH THOSE WHO RULE YOUR LIFE:
Ugh…talking with parents and teachers is a good idea,, even though it sounds horrid (and actually, it kind of is, but the outcome is good :D ).

So, when you have projects, ask your mom/dad to help you with it. Ask them to help you research–whatever you need, just ask and they might help out. Even asking for support can be a boost.

If you don’t understand a subject, ask a teacher if maybe they can tutor you after school or something, or arrange a tutor.

SLEEPING: Lack of sleep caused 50 percent of most people’s stress. So, it may seem impossible to get more than six hours a night, but you really need a good ten. Try to shoot for eight. If you can’t fall asleep because of stress or whatever, I suggest going to wallmart and picking up some melatonin–it’s a non-addictive and perfectly safe, natural sleep supplement. Take it like, thirty minutes before bed.

RELAX!!: If you’re feeling stressed, you can do these things:

-Meditate-: Close your eyes, press your forefinger and thumb together as hard as you can, and think of a blank wall, and nothing else.
-Pray-: if you’re religious, pray to God about relaxing, say the Hail Mary, whatever suits your style.
-Kiss Someone-: Believe it or not, this is a serious stress reliever. Feeling freaked? Grab your girl and give her a smooch.
-Yoga-ish Things-: You don’t have to put your legs around your neck to relax with yoga!
-Drink Tea-: Drink tea when you feel like exploding.
-Favorite Song Therapy-: Dim all the lights, lie somewhere comfortable, and listen to your favorite song over and over. It really works, even if you love Linkin Park or something.
-Watch Kid Movies-: Pop out the Aladdin! It really relaxes people to watch things the
