Stress can cause you to ovulate late, which will make your period come late, but if you have already ovulated your period should show up within 2 weeks.

I don't think it stops your period from coming.
I've been stressed but I still got my period. Anyways... I've heard stories where people have said if your stressed you don't get your period but I'm pretty sure it doesn't stop it. But depending how old you are I sugesst you ask your parents. I have this website maybe you could ask this question on there. Here it is...
- Hope I Helped! :)

Stress can cause changes in your brain function (which I'm sure you're aware) and changes in brain function can change your hormone production.

Changes in hormone production can change the hormone levels in your body, which is what controls your menstrual cycles.

yes it is possible for stress to affect your period. How or whether it affects it (delayed period, heavier/lighter) can be different for each person (some people might not see any changes in their period), and different depending on the type and amount of stress as well.
