i remember once i was really stressed..ie: having panic attacks, scared, anxiety..but i still got my period during that time…i read somewhere that stress dont necessiraly stop period froom coming?? answers please!!!
i went without my period for 3 months and then all of a sudden it came.. it was stress cause me and my boyfriend had broken up at that time then i met someone new and started my period again lol
Where did you read this? this is untrue in any way shape or form…nothing you can do naturally stops you from having your period. the only thing that slows the flow is some types of birth control
I only know that excitement can delay it from coming. eg. a bride plans the date after she thinks she will get it but the period delays because of the excitement and she gets it on her wedding day.
Stress does come from having your period??
Hope I helped or at least taught you something new! :]
now that you mention it i remember that i was really stressed out one month and i didnt get my period actually i didnt get it for like two months but i dk it culd be ask a doctor
Stress doesn’t delay your period once you have already ovulated, because you have a luteal phase that determines when your period will arrive. Stress will delay ovulation, thus making your period seem late when it’s not really, it just means you ovulated later and your luteal phase needs to play itself out.
It is true that in tons of cases stress will cause your period to be late, or even skipping a period would be normal. However, it doesn’t always happen sometimes your period will come anyway, it has to do with hormones during stress.
For example, every time I have let my boyfriend “finish” i get so worried about being pregnant that i literally psych myself out. It will be late, but as soon as i take a pregnancy test and it comes up negative, i start the next day. I know it’s crazy but it’s true. If you think your pregnant take a test, if your stressed out you shouldn’t be having unprotected sex, a stressful time in your life is no time to be taking chances on getting pregnant.
Good luck
Stress can cause changes in your brain function (which I’m sure you’re aware) and changes in brain function can change your hormone production.
Changes in hormone production can change the hormone levels in your body, which is what controls your menstrual cycles.
yes it is possible for stress to affect your period. How or whether it affects it (delayed period, heavier/lighter) can be different for each person (some people might not see any changes in their period), and different depending on the type and amount of stress as well.
I don’t think it stops your period from coming.
I’ve been stressed but I still got my period. Anyways… I’ve heard stories where people have said if your stressed you don’t get your period but I’m pretty sure it doesn’t stop it. But depending how old you are I sugesst you ask your parents. I have this website maybe you could ask this question on there. Here it is…

Stress can cause you to ovulate late, which will make your period come late, but if you have already ovulated your period should show up within 2 weeks.

Stress can mess with your period. It can stop it or make it start or make it worse, etc.
It’s happen to me both ways.
